Lewis Avenue is the 2006 Greenest Block in Brooklyn!

Our block of Lewis Avenue between Decatur and MacDonough Sts. came in 1st place in the commercial category.

What’s more, Bedford-Stuyvesant had more winners than any other neighborhood in Brooklyn. Kudos to all including:

MacDonough (Stuyvesant and Lewis) - 3rd Place Residential
Stuyvesant (Putnam and Jefferson) - 4th Place Residential
Bainbridge (Malcolm X and Stuyvesant) - Honorable Mention - Residential

95 Bainbridge (Stuyvesant and Lewis) - 1st Place Window Box
257 Bainbridge (Malcolm X and Stuyvesant) - 1st Place BBG Window Box

The following stores on Tompkins Avenue also received commendations:
Bread Stuy, Brownstone Books, Lewis Gallery, Charles Atwell Realty, Architects at 366, Ibo Landing, Jefferson Antiques, Debonair, The Victorian, Calabash Clothing, Mr. T’s Haircutters, Brooklyn Valley and M& M Laundry.
