Hillary

I was born and raised in California. I studied engineering in college. After working for 7 years in the field [yawn], I decided I wanted a new challenge that incorporated my artistic side. I decided to check out culinary school, as I has always been a "foodie." Inspired by my mother who baked bread for family gatherings, I completed the professional diploma program in Baking and Pastry arts at Institute of Culinary Education. The chance to own a shop in my neighborhood was too good to pass up so when the Mirrors coffeehouse space became available we jumped on the opportunity.

Hi, I'm Lloyd and I was born in Los Angeles, California. We moved here to Bedford Stuyvesant in 2001. I’ve been a fixture on Lewis Avenue since. Have always spent time in the coffee shop and always felt that it was a great place to pass the time. When it became available we decided to make a go at it. I'm an actor and have been lucky enough to make a living. But luck runs out some time, so we now make coffee every morning because I'm not going to be cute forever. So Bread Stuy it is. I love making people happy and if coffee brings people closer to their nirvana then it smells like teen spirit. Every great neighborhood has a great coffee house. We love children and animals, not necessarily in that order. So come on in and have a cup and watch me play chess, poorly.
